There’s a lot to be excited about regarding the world of Pokemon Sword and Shield. During Nintendo‘s latest Pokemon Direct, the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass was announced. The Expansion Pass is available for prepurchase in the Nintendo E-shop as we speak. For starters – two new adventures will be added to Pokemon Sword and Shield. The Isle of Armor will be part one of the Expansion Pass set for June 2020. Part Two, The Crown Tundra, is set for Fall 2020.
The Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra will offer a brand new adventure to the Galar region while the approach of each story sees a unique direction. The Isle of Armor’s theme is growth as players train under the Isle’s mentor Mustard. While battling and encountering new Pokemon, players will raise the fighting-type pokemon Kubfu into Urshifu – the legendary fighting-type pokemon.
The Crown Tundra is all about exploration. The winter driven community thrives together in this uncharted landscape of Galar. Players will have the opportunity to uncover many mysteries and new areas while learning about the legendary grass and physic-type Pokemon Calyrex. The Crown Tundra will also feature an exciting new cooperative mode that will allow players to link up with friends and battle legendary pokemon in pokemon dens. Countless legendary Pokemon from each respective generation will appear in these dens, and players will have the opportunity to catch them.
Last but not least, the Expansion Pass will add over 200 new species of Pokemon to the Galar region that we’rent previously available. These pokemon will even be available without the Expansion Pass through the Pokemon trading system. You can prepurchase the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass for $30. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Pokemon Sword and Shield with this new update.
